Registration Instructions for BankNet

  1. Employees of National Banks, Federal Savings Associations, Federal Branch/Agencies or their Holding Companies, see section A below.
  2. Technology Service Providers (TSP) and Multi-regional Data Processing Servicer (MDPS), see section B below.
  3. External Attorney or External Consultant appointed or hired to file by a National Bank, Federal Savings Association, or Federal Branch/Agency, see section C below.
  4. Other Bank Regulators or Suppliers of Information for OCC, see section D below. (Please do not register using this option if you fall into one of the categories above. If you are an employee or director of a national bank, federal savings association, or federal branch and agency, please register using option "A".)

  1. If you are Employed by a National Bank, Federal Savings Association, Federal Branch/Agency or a Holding Company of one of those, please follow the instructions below:
    1. Check to see if your bank is currently a member of BankNet by reviewing the list of BankNet member institutions. If your bank is already a member, go to step 3.

      Note: BankNet access is available only to OCC-regulated institutions.The list is updated on a monthly basis. If your bank does not appear on the list, but you believe it is a BankNet member, please call 1 (800) 641-5925 to confirm membership status.
    2. If your bank is not a BankNet member, an Executive at your bank must complete a Bank Membership Request Form.

      Note: The officer will appoint three bank employees in the form to serve as BankNet liaisons. Please see the form for the responsibilities of these three individuals.

      What to expect after submitting the Bank Membership Request Form
      The three individuals that are named in the Bank Membership Request form will each receive three emails once their accounts are created; one to verify their email address, one with a user name, and one with a password and instructions. If they do not receive the emails by the next business day, please call BankNet Technical Support at 1 (800) 641-5925. The three individuals must each complete the individual registration steps as instructed in the email before the Bank Membership process will be complete. Once all three individuals have completed the registration, the executive and the three individuals will be notified by email that the process is complete.
    3. Once your bank is a BankNet member, individuals at the bank will be able to self-register for access by completing the Individual Access Request Form.

      Note: All individual registration forms will be electronically routed to your bank's BankNet agent, an employee of the bank, for clearance and then will be routed on to the OCC.

      What to expect after submitting the Individual Access Request Form
      Each individual requesting access will receive three emails once their account is created; one to verify their email address, one with a user name, and one with a password and instructions. If the emails are not received by the next business day, please contact your BankNet agent to ensure he/she cleared your form. If it has been greater than 24 hours since your form was cleared by the BankNet agent, please call BankNet Technical Support at 1 (800) 641-5925. If you do not know the BankNet agent(s) for your bank, please call 1 (800) 641-5925.

  2. If you are a Technology Service Provider (TSP) or Multi-regional Data Processing Servicer (MDPS), please follow the instructions below:
    1. Individuals with Technology Service Providers (TSP) or Multi-regional Data Processing Servicers (MDPS) should self-register for access by completing the Individual Access Request Form.

      What to expect after submitting the Individual Access Request Form
      The individual registration forms will be electronically routed to the OCC for clearance. Each individual requesting access will receive three emails once their account is created; one to verify their email address, one with a user name, and one with a password and instructions. The user must open the first email and click on the link inside to verify their email address before the other two emails will be sent. If all three emails are not received by the next business day, please call BankNet Technical Support at 1 (800) 641-5925.

  3. If you are appointed or hired to file as an External Attorney or External Consultant, please follow the instructions below: 
    1. External Attorneys or External Consultants should self-register for access by completing the Individual Access Request Form.

      Note: An external attorney and external consultant’s individual registration forms will be electronically routed to the bank’s BankNet agent for clearance and then will be routed on to the OCC

      Each individual requesting access will receive three emails once their account is created; one to verify their email address, one with a user name, and one with a password and instructions. . The user must open the first email and click on the link inside to verify their email address before the other two emails will be sent. If all three emails are not received by the next business day, please contact the bank’s BankNet agent to ensure he/she cleared your form. If it has been greater than 24 hours since your form was cleared by the BankNet agent, please call BankNet Technical Support at 1 (800) 641-5925.   4. If you are an Other Bank Regulator or Supplier of Information for OCC, please follow the instructions below:
    1. Other Bank Regulators or Suppliers of Information for OCC should self-register for access by completing the Individual Access Request Form.
